Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026. Unstuck Help is operated by UARExperiences Inc. d/b/a Unstuck Help ("we", "us"), Raleigh, North Carolina.
What we collect
When you ask for help, we collect what you give us: your name, home address, mobile number or email address, your description of the problem, and any files you attach. If you choose a meeting or call, we also collect the times you prefer. If you call a legislator's office that uses Unstuck Help, the office may add your voicemail and its transcript.
If you use the microphone button to speak instead of typing, your web browser's own speech service turns your voice into text. We receive only the text.
How we use it
- To confirm your address and work out which legislator represents you.
- To confirm your phone number or email with a one-time code.
- To send your request to the legislator's office you choose, and to help that office sort and answer it.
- To send you messages about your request: the code, status updates, and a check-in about a week later.
We use automated tools, including AI, to suggest a quick fix, sort requests, and draft replies. A person at the office reviews every reply before it is sent to you or to an agency.
Who sees it
- The legislator's office you choose. Only that office sees your request. If the office doesn't use Unstuck Help yet, we email your request to its official address.
- State agencies, with your permission. If the office contacts an agency for you, it may ask you to sign a privacy release first.
- Service providers that run the service for us: hosting and database, email delivery, text-message delivery, and AI processing. They may use your information only to provide those services.
- The U.S. Census Bureau's address lookup. We send it your street address, city, and ZIP, with nothing else, to find your state House and Senate districts.
We do not sell your information. We never share it with political campaigns, parties, or advertisers.
Text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See the text message terms.
If you're outside North Carolina, we keep your request so we can see where people need help next. If you ask us to tell you when we reach your area, we keep your email address for that one message.
Cookies
We use only two cookies, and only after you sign in:
- My requests: keeps you signed in on that device for up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
- Office sign in: remembers that someone on this device has signed in to the office dashboard, so it goes straight there next time. It holds no personal information.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Each legislator's office sets how long its closed requests are kept, and requests are deleted after that. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, or want a copy of it, email info@uarexperiences.com.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and only signed-in office staff with the right role can see requests. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Unstuck Help is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the home page.
